What is Fortnite PR?

How the Fortnite Power Rankings System Works

To calculate a player's rank, Fortnite Tracker uses a cumulative point model. Every event a player participates in will be worth a specific amount of points – depending on placement, event difficulty, and importance.

In that regard, the tournament's number of players, format, and the prize pool it contains are also part of the equation.

Players who place in the top 10,000 events will earn flat points between 5-1000. Additionally, the power rankings system is extremely top-heavy. As a result, players outside the top 100 receive fewer than 200 points. On the other hand, the top players and teams receive close to the max 1000 points.

The flat point distribution has also been multiplied by event difficulty/importance multipliers.

For instance, a cash cup's multiplier might be 1. However, for a World Cup qualifying match, the multiplier might be 10. Under this assumption, the winner of a cash cup would earn 1,000 points. Meanwhile, winning a World Cup qualifier would reward 10,000 points in the ranking system.

Developers have introduced a tournament decay system to ensure the Power Rankings are consistently accurate. The decay of a tournament begins 4 months after its end. 

At that point, players lose 10% of the tournament's points. Gradually, that percentage increases every month for 18 months. Power rankings do not take the tournament into account after 18 months.

You can also filter power rankings to include only PC, console, or mobile Fortnite players. Moreover, you can filter the rankings to include a specific region.
